Experience the Harvest Season with Savour Fall at Rideau Hall
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 09/24/13 -- Harvest and food enthusiasts will not want to miss Savour Fall at Rideau Hall, which will be hosted by Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston on Saturday, September, 28, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
This new harvest celebration is an opportunity for visitors to appreciate and enjoy the simple pleasures of the fall season. The event will take place rain or shine and will feature activities free of charge for the entire family to enjoy:
The harvest season is also about sharing with one another. On this occasion, contributions to the Ottawa Food Bank to help families in need will be welcomed.
Visit the Residence
Visitors will also be able to tour the historic residence, its State rooms, and the permanent exhibit A Reflection of Who We Are, which explores various facets of the Canadian Honours System. From the history of the system to the accomplishments of recipients, Canadians can discover what's behind insignia and medals, and be inspired by the passion and dedication that characterize those who have received these honours.
Parking
Free parking will be available at the National Research Council (100 Sussex Drive, a 10-minute walk from Rideau Hall) on a first-come, first-served basis, and on the streets in the surrounding neighbourhood. Limited parking for mobility-impaired guests will be available on the Rideau Hall grounds via Princess Gate.
