Trieste Brings Deep Expertise in Awareness and Stakeholder Engagement to Firm's Clients
(firmenpresse) - ROCHESTER, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 09/17/13 -- Environmental and engineering firm Haley & Aldrich today announced that Marion Trieste joins as the leader of the firm's growing public outreach service team. Trieste is a nationally recognized public outreach expert known for her strategy, planning and execution work for environmental and energy organizations across the U.S. She is particularly renowned for her grassroots organizational skills and her ability to connect key stakeholders across affected communities.
Trieste was formerly founder and president of Trieste Associates, where she worked with communities at risk from toxic waste. After working on Hudson River Cleanup projects, Trieste entered the renewable energy field in 2003 in the early days of wind farm development and renewable energy marketing. Prior to that, she spent 10 years with the Sierra Club where she worked on issues ranging from the Clean Air Act to reauthorizing the nation's Superfund law.
Trieste has built community outreach and public relations campaigns for clients such as BP Wind, Own Energy, Acciona Energy North America, Gamesa Wind, Reunion Power, Malcolm Pirnie, and non-profit organizations, corporations, attorneys and government agencies. At Haley & Aldrich, Trieste will work with clients where public outreach initiatives are an important element of the overall project. The firm's services in this area include community education, media mobilization, public relations, and grassroots campaigns. Trieste will also lead the creation of customer-specific project teams that include environmental, business, government, non-profit, and community stakeholders.

Trieste earned a B.S. in Wildlife Management from the University of Wyoming. She is a frequent speaker and has presented at wind and energy conferences worldwide, such as WINDPOWER (2006, 2009, 2013), AWEA Fall Symposium (2009, 2012), Wind Powering America Annual Conference (2012) and the Clean Energy Council Conference (2011).
