Virtualized, Carrier-Grade Mobile Core and Outdoor Small Cells Provide an Ideal LTE Solution for Hot Zone Deployments, Including Rural Communities

(Hitachi CTA) and Contela Inc. today announced availability of carrier-grade full-featured LTE solution for competitive carriers in the United States with Contela's LTE Outdoor Small Cells and Hitachi's Mobile Core, including ER5000 MME, SGSN and Small Cell Gateway. Hitachi CTA Mobile Core software products are also now running as a virtualized solution, enabling quick deployment, support for small to very large systems with unlimited scalability for signaling and data throughput.
Mobile operators face many challenges with mass deployment of small cells to address ever increasing data demands. Major challenges include managing the growth of both signaling and throughput. The innovative architecture of Hitachi's ER5000 Smallcell Gateway enables operators to independently grow signaling and data capacity as network and data demand evolve.
