The study, Public-Sector Pensions: Options for Reform from the Saskatchewan NDP, highlights how governments in many provinces since 2000 have been forced to bail out some public-sector pension plans and increase pension contribution rates. It recommends reforms that would help make public sector pension plans sustainable and ease the burden on provincial treasuries.
