Kneehab(R) XP Secures Pre-Market Certification in Japan
(firmenpresse) - MINNETONKA, MN -- (Marketwired) -- 09/12/13 -- The Kneehab XP Quadriceps Therapy System, manufactured by Neurotech, has received pre-market certification from SGS Japan, Inc. This certification enables the Kneehab to be provided to the Japanese market through Neurotech's Japanese distribution partner, Shilac Japan, Inc. The device will make its debut at the Japanese Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine conference to be held in Nagoya, September 13 - 14, 2013.

Shilac Japan, Inc. is a division of Shilac Enterprises, headquartered in Torrance, CA. Shilac's Japanese offices were founded in 1994. For the Japanese market, the Kneehab has received Class II, controlled medical device, designation. The Kneehab features a controller and conductive garment that combine together to deliver Multipath, a patented form of Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES). Published research has shown that Kneehab restores quadriceps strength and function significantly faster than physical therapy or standard NMES in patients having undergone ACL reconstruction. The Kneehab also has applicability in pre- and post-total knee replacement and patellofemoral joint pain settings, along with other knee etiologies.
