DISA: Grand Opening and the Story about?Kiss the Frog?
(PresseBox) - When DISA COO Peter Holm Larsen started his welcome address to employees, customers and guests in the new DISA Headquarters in Taastrup DK ,he remembered the last two years of planning and building up these environmentally friendly and modern facilities.
"Moving to the new location is only one step of the vision", stated Larsen. He emphasized that DISA new headquarters now provides transparent environment for working in teams and they have set a footprint for sustainability as a Danish based company to be competitive as a global player.
The construction of DISA's new headquarters did not proceed without challenges. During the project they had to replace the building site in Taastrup because of a surprise. An unforeseen waterhole was filled with preserved frogs and salamanders and this led to elaborate changes in the conception.
But the frog became the symbol of the entire moving project and the change project. "Kiss the Frog" holds a fine symbolism. DISA's new headquarters has turned into a "beautiful prince" and the environmental responsibility has been adopted. This will remain a symbol for the future green profile of DISA.
Building and Installations:
The size of production and storage area is 10.000 square meters and the administration building covers 3.000 square meters. One thousand two hundred square meters of glass facades have been installed, functioning like solar cells on the roof top with a production capacity of 45.000 KWh/year and 145 LED lamps take care of the lightning in the production hall.
They also installed 17 kilometers of cabling and moved approximately 400 tons of machines and 400 tons of stock goods from Herlev to Taastrup.
