Oxford Properties Ranks First in North American Sustainability Performance
2013 Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark Survey recognizes sustainability best PRACTICES
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 09/05/13 -- Increased energy and water efficiency, LEED certification, sustainability targets, and a new Green Lease for tenants helped Oxford Properties achieve the top spot in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) survey as the North American Regional Sector Leader in the Diversified-Office and Retail category. Oxford increased its ranking from third in the Americas (private) and fifth globally in 2012.
Released today, the 2013 GRESB Report measures the sustainability performance of listed and private property funds in the international real estate industry across seven aspects including: management, policy and disclosure, performance, building certifications, risks and opportunities, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement. This year's report is based on a global survey of 543 of the world's largest property companies and funds, representing $1.6 trillion in gross asset value.
