Saint Louis University Hospital Selects iSirona for Medical Device Integration
Missouri-Based Hospital to Implement iSirona Software Along With Epic Anesthesia Intraoperative Module
(firmenpresse) - PANAMA CITY, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 09/05/13 -- iSirona, a provider of simplified solutions for medical device integration, today announced that Saint Louis University Hospital has selected iSirona's device connectivity solution. The hospital, which is part of the Tenet HealthSystem, will rely on iSirona's software-based solution to provide integration for anesthesia machines and cardiac monitors in its operating rooms, interventional radiology areas, and catherization lab.
Saint Louis University Hospital plans to implement the iSirona solution in conjunction with its upcoming deployment of the Epic Anesthesia Intraoperative Module. "Currently, the hospital's device documentation process is broken into multiple systems," says Dave Dyell, iSirona founder and CEO. "By implementing iSirona software, it will benefit from a consistent process that facilitates perioperative documentation workflow and ensures accurate delivery of data to the EMR."
"The fact that iSirona's solution is software-based played a role in this decision, as that translates into a less complex implementation and support model," explains iSirona's Vice President of Sales Phil Sawa. "In addition, they felt the software seemed simple to maintain, yet is complex enough to cover the difficult workflows of their organization."
iSirona helps clinicians make more informed decisions about patients by providing an easy to use approach to medical device integration. Using iSirona's software solution, hospitals can connect virtually any medical device to their CIS, providing clinicians with faster access to more accurate patient information. iSirona was ranked "One of America's Most Promising Companies" in 2013 by Forbes magazine, as the fifth fastest-growing private company in U.S. healthcare in 2012 by Inc Magazine, and as the #1 device integration provider for both 2011 and 2012 in the Best in KLAS awards.
