PCS Discusses $685K Saudi Arabia STEM Contract

The contract is for PCS K12 STEM outreach education programs including PCS robotics and customized solutions in the areas of health, engineering, physics, and chemistry. The project is part of the King Abdullah Education initiative, a sweeping USD$2.4B program intended to transform the education landscape of the Kingdom to prepare students for the 21st century knowledge economy.
The contract has an initial budget of $685K (2.5MM SAR) and, although much of the initial work and product delivery should be concluded by December of 2013, the contract runs through August 19th, 2014 remaining open for additional work orders, operational support, and the replenishment of consumables of an undetermined amount for the project which is ongoing. These additional operational elements are not in the startup project budget of $685K and if ordered will come from a separate operations budget.
