Conference to Feature Impact of mHealth on Safe Babies Program in Rural Kenya

The "Health 2.0 Around the World: International" program begins at 1:25 p.m. in the Mission City Ballroom at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The Fall Conference runs from September 29th through October 2nd.

Earlier this year, Apple featured the work Health eVillages is doing with the Lwala Community Alliance and its Safe Babies program in the video. Community nurses in the prenatal care program use iPads provided by Health eVillages to help rural mothers with limited access to healthcare provide a healthy start in life for their newborns. The nurses use the medical references loaded on the devices to help diagnose and prevent complications from setting in during pregnancies.
