(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/03/13 -- Once again BP and Chevron retirees have come together to grow vegetables for the Calgary Food Bank. Their volunteer efforts see a bounty of 10,000 plus pounds of fresh produce that will go directly from the ground to clients and partner agencies.

Access to quality, nutritious food is critical to developing healthy minds and bodies. It is important for everyone to have a well-balanced diet so that they can reach their potential. The Calgary Food Bank is proud to say that it is unique because it creates hampers following the Canada Food Guide where fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy and eggs are all important, guaranteed items.
