The Fraser Institute: Media Advisory; How BC's Economy Would Improve With Worker Choice Laws: Report Coming Tuesday, Sept. 3
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/30/13 -- The Fraser Institute will release a new study on Tuesday, Sept. 3 that examines the economic and competitive benefits of enacting worker-choice laws in British Columbia similar to those in place in many U.S. states.
Worker choice laws, also known as right-to-work laws, prohibit workers from being forced to join a union as a condition of employment and allow them to opt out of paying some or all union dues.
The study, The Implications of US Worker Choice Laws for British Columbia and Ontario, analyzes the effects of right-to-work laws in the United States and recommends critical reforms to BC labour laws.
