Grantham University Employees Raise $7,154.82 Supporting Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

That is why the University was proud to partner with the Kansas City Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure as a Silver Sponsor for the fifth year in a row.
Early on Sunday, August 10th, 34 Grantham employees, also known as Life Changers, gathered at Union Station to show their support for the fight against breast cancer by walking or running with thousands of other participants.
In addition to the $10,000 level sponsorship and participating in Race for the Cure, Grantham's Life Changers raised $7,154.82 through their popular annual community golf tournament and other in-house fundraisers thus far, fundraising is still ongoing through the end of August.
"Like far too many others in this country, our family at Grantham has been impacted by breast cancer," said Joseph McGrath, Grantham's president. "That is why we are so proud to continue being a part of these incredible efforts towards eradicating this horrible disease."
