GNS has unveiled smallest GNSS module based on CSR SiRFstarV chip
(PresseBox) - 08.2013 - Global Navigation Systems GNS GmbH announced today that the company has unveiled a new GNSS module.
The 9x10 mm LGA packaged GNS 2301 is based on CSR's SiRFstarV chip and offers state of the art performance and flexibility at an extremely attractive price.
First Fixes after just a few seconds are achieved with the help of different aided GNSS technologies.
The module supports self prediction and predicted A-GNSS. It has superior dynamic performance at high velocity and provides effective protection against interference signals. Up to 8 independent channel interference can be eliminated or reduced. The direct to battery capability allows to supply the GNS 2301 directly to a Lithium battery. This will reduce additional BOM costs.
"The GNS 2301 is our first CSR based GPS product. The product fits perfectly to our existing GPS product portfolio and expands the functionality in favor to our customers. In particular, the extended power supply range of 1.8 - 4.3V is a usefull feature. Our new GPS + GALILEO GPS module GNS 2301 is completly designed and made in Germany, under the premise to deliver the best possible GPS product to the customer.
