The Walgreens National Day of Caring presented an opportunity for the SkinStore.com team to volunteer within their community. The volunteer group toured the Sacramento facility, which provides emergency goods and services to 15,000 men, women and children each month. After the tour and an overview of the programs and support provided, the team helped sort through bins of donated food and clothing, learning that for every dollar donated, $10 worth of goods and services are returned to the community.
has organized food drives and collected donations for the Food Bank in the past, but the opportunity to volunteer for an afternoon was a much more rewarding experience. The facility and the families it serves depend on community support and volunteers.
