The estate is mainly famous for its Vin de Constance. Awarded with 5 Stars by John Platter and 95 Parker Points, it is considered to be the best South African dessert wine of all time. As early as in the 18th and 19th century, the Vin de Constance made grand personalities, poets and wine gourmets swoon, for example Napoleon Bonaparte, Frederick the Great and Jane Austen in ‘Sense and Sensibility’. The cool climate on the foothills of the Table Mountain is perfect for outstandingly good white wines.
