CH2M HILL Selected by TransCanada for Program Management on Major Pipeline
The Energy East Project Is Critical for Canada's Energy Industry
(firmenpresse) - DENVER, CO -- (Marketwired) -- 08/02/13 -- CH2M HILL (), a global full-service consulting, design, construction and operations firm, today announced that the company has been selected by TransCanada, one of the country's largest energy infrastructure firms, for Program Management for the Energy East Project. This project would convert an existing 3,000 km natural gas pipeline to safely transport oil from Alberta to Eastern Canadian refineries and will require 1,400 km of new pipeline construction.
Energy East is considered a critical infrastructure project by the Canadian oil and gas industry. The project will open up new markets for oil produced from Alberta's oil sands operations enhancing Canadian energy independence by providing a reliable source of domestic oil.
