Miraculins Announces Closing of Acquisition of Scout DS(R) Non-Invasive Diabetes Screening Technology

(TSX VENTURE: MOM), ("Miraculins" or the "Company"), a medical diagnostic company focused on acquiring, developing and commercializing diagnostic tests and risk assessment technologies for unmet clinical needs, is pleased to announce that it has closed the acquisition from VeraLight, Inc. ("VeraLight") of all relevant assets, including intellectual property, licenses and regulatory approvals, inventories, data and marketing materials, relating to the SCOUT DS® technology, a ground-breaking diabetes screening technology that non-invasively measures changes in the composition of a person's skin indicative of pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes.
As previously announced on July 2, 2013, the purchase price for the SCOUT DS® technology consists of a combination of cash and common shares of Miraculins.
In connection with the closing of the transaction, Lisa Suennen, Chair of VeraLight's board of directors, was appointed to the board of directors of Miraculins.
