Tilera Names Chris Moore New VP of Operations, Former Apple Silicon Supplier Management Expert
Moore Brings More Than 20 Years of Leading Processor Industry Experience in Both Engineering and Operations Roles to Tilera
(firmenpresse) - SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/30/13 -- , developer of the industry-leading TILE-Gx™ family of 64-bit manycore general purpose processors, today tapped Chris Moore as its new vice president of operations. He adds exceptional executive experience to Tilera's processor and platforms operations which are scaling and growing internationally throughout key markets including network intelligence, video and cloud computing. Moore will be in charge of overall operations focusing on enhancing worldwide practices as the company continues to grow and expand.

Prior to joining Tilera, Moore spent five years at Apple Inc. managing silicon suppliers to meet high quality, supply and manufacturability standards in the Mac HW division, and driving multiple generations of chipset and GPU product integration to Apple's platforms. Additionally, he held positions at Montalvo Systems and Transmeta Corp. During his nine-year tenure at Transmeta, he held various management positions in product and test engineering which helped lead to a successful IPO in 2001. He began his career at Texas Instruments working on a family of mixed-signal micro-controllers for automotive applications, holding positions in design, product and test engineering, and program management.
Moore holds a BSEE from the University of Cincinnati, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
