Hotel in Munich Sends Staff to Assist in Renovation of Romanian Children's Home

As part of the annual South Germany & Switzerland Business Council's charity initiative, general managers and engineers from the traveled to Alba Iulia, Romania on July 19, 2013. Upon arrival at the Stern der Hoffnung children's home, these Marriott associates helped to modernize and renovate through the installation of new electrical lines, renovated kitchens and bathrooms and more. The hotel staff also delivered furnishings and accessories to help the children live more comfortably. During the two week renovation project, staff of the Munich hotel also enjoyed a meal with the children.
Launched in 2005, the donation campaign of the South Germany & Switzerland Business Council welcomes craftsmen and engineers with skills in painting, plumbing, and more to assist in renovating facilities in dire need. In addition to sending staff, many of the properties also sent along donations of up to 1.200EUR to help buy materials for the engineers on-site.
