Colorado Taekwondo Institute Keeps Kids Active With August Camp
(firmenpresse) - WESTMINSTER, CO -- (Marketwired) -- 07/24/13 -- By the time August rolls around, most parents are itching to get their children back to school. The long, hot days tick by as few activities continue to keep kids occupied. Colorado Institute has been offering an annual summer camp to keep kids interested, excited and healthy during the summer months.
"We want to keep our students' excitement levels up about their training," said Erik Albrechtson, 5th dan at CTI. "This camp would also be a great introduction for someone who is looking to get involved with a ."
CTI will be holding a 'Taekwondo Summer Day Camp' July 29th-August 2nd at their Green Mountain Campus in Lakewood. The camp is offered to students 5 years and older and is split into multiple sessions. A morning session will be offered from 8:30-11:00 a.m., followed by an afternoon session from 12-2:30 p.m.
Students can opt between registering for a single session, multiple sessions or the entire week. Students can register from the CTI Web site, and cost depends on the number of sessions registered for.
"During camp, we'll develop our by practicing moves, participating in regular classes and having fun with some games," said Albrechtson, who will be member of the supervising staff available at the camp. "Every session is unique."
This annual event is well-attended every year, but class size fluctuates throughout the week, depending on the session times. It's best to register early to ensure a camp spot.
Students will participate in group activities, as well as break-out sessions based on age and belt level. "We've had brand new students with no experience attend, and we've had students with years of training," Albrechtson said.
CTI is certified Moo Sul Kwan Martial Arts studio located at numerous locations throughout Colorado. They have been teaching for over 30 years and are passionate about developing leadership and teaching skills to enable their teachers and students to make meaningful contributions to their families, schools and communities.
