The Canadian debut of is on now through October 13, presenting the body throughout its entire human life cycle.
This limited engagement is a new exhibition from physician and pioneering anatomist Dr. Gunther von Hagens. With more than 200 plastinates-real human specimens preserved through Dr. von Hagens' invention, Plastination - the exhibit provides a fascinating look at the human body from fetal development to advanced age, and from health to distress to disease.
Full-body plastinates in various action poses, including hockey players, a baseball player, ice skaters and a ballet dancer showcase the body in all its elegance and complexity, while The Artists' Gaze segment provides amazing insight into of the world of the eye through the sight and vision of artists Claude Monet and Edgar Degas, who suffered from cataracts and retinal eye disease.
Boldly Explore
Five permanent galleries await to educate, turning learning into a world of fun and exploration. Then there's the wonderful world as seen through IMAX, and a unique Robotics Lab featuring the LEGO® MINDSTORMS™ Center.
