Media Advisory: Canadian Armed Forces Nijmegen Contingent Pay Their Respects at Vimy Ridge
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 07/12/13 -- On July 13, 2013, a Canadian contingent of 210 participants will stop in Arras, France, to commemorate the sacrifice of more than 66 000 Canadian service personnel who died during the First World War. The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) contingent is on their way to the Netherlands to participate in the 97th annual International Four Days Marches in Nijmegen.
Attending the event will be the following VIPs: Wladyslaw Lizon, Member of Parliament for Mississauga - East Cooksville; Brian Macdonald, Member of New Brunswick's Legislative Assembly; Honorary Colonel Elisabeth Rybak of 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise's); Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel Sol Rolingher of 1 Military Police Regiment (Edmonton); Shawn MacDougall of Veterans Affairs Canada; Comrade Chris Blondin of the Royal Canadian Legion; and Constable Sheila Vanstone and Constable Greig Vadenberge of the Vancouver Police Department.
