(PresseBox) - Power supply specialist powerSelect recently received a rather unusual request: a well-known truck manufacturer was desperately seeking a solution that allowed him to operate the on-board electronics of his vehicles during repairs without needing to rely on battery power. After all, the battery may be part of the problem or just not available. Unfortunately, there wasn?t a suitable power supply on the market, and a new product development would have been too costly.
A winning combination ? fast as lightning
powerSelect?s engineers presented a viable solution in record time. They installed an off-the-shelf power supply unit in a mobile casing that meets customer specifications, thus creating a mobile, 500-watt power supply with 24V output voltage. The power supply meets all relevant EMV and safety standards and is CE certified.
?Smart combinations that solve complex problems are our specialty,? says powerSelect spokesperson Dr. Hans-Peter Klug. ?By modifying standard devices to meet customer specification we?re able to offer customized power supply units at a fraction of the cost of a new product development.?
The customer was highly satisfied. The mobile power supply unit is now used not only for electronics repairs, but also during technician training courses.
