Reading Without Limits Program Helps Struggling Readers By Enhancing Vision Processing Skills
(firmenpresse) - CARLSBAD, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/11/13 -- Reading Without Limits is a new and unique reading improvement program. It is designed to help children and adults behind in their reading skills and who have not improved with traditional reading methods. The program was developed by Dr. David Bloch in 2006 and is based on the enhancement of visual processing. The program is fast and effective, does not emphasize phonics, and can treat some forms of dyslexia.
Even though both visual and auditory processing skills are required for reading excellence, Dr. Bloch has found the majority of struggling readers suffer from visual processing disorders. Traditional reading tutorials emphasize auditory-based techniques, while Reading Without Limits focuses on visual impairments. "If a child has shown little to no improvement with standard reading programs within a six-month period, it is highly likely they have an undiagnosed vision or vision processing problem," said Dr. Bloch.
With Reading Without Limits, children are evaluated for key auditory and visual components. Once the reason for the reading problem has been isolated, treatment is targeted to those underdeveloped areas. Using a series of drills that enhance vision processing and visual tracking skills, students become better readers immediately.
Dr. Bloch offers free presentations to medical and educational personnel interested in developing the Reading Without Limits program at their practice or school. Call 760-672-8966 for information.
