KDDI, the Parent Company of TELEHOUSE Expands Global Access for U.S. Customers Through South East-Asia Japan Cable
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 07/11/13 -- KDDI, the parent company of TELEHOUSE, the United States' leading provider of dedicated data centers, international Internet exchanges, and managed IT services, announces it has begun operation on the optical submarine cable, South East-Asia Japan Cable (SJC) in order to meet the large capacity communication needs of the Internet age. Japan is at the hub connecting the shortest route between Singapore and other Southeast Asian data centers to the United States' west coast. This initiative will provide greater global connectivity for U.S. based customers.
SJC connects Japan to Singapore and branches out to all regions of Southeast Asia including mainland China, Hong Kong, Brunei, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand for a total length of 5,530 miles and 28Tbps of large volume broadband communications are made possible with optical submarine cables.
