The 1:00 p.m. train whistle signals the continuation of the party as it moves onto the rails with new specialty beers served onboard, including Verde Canyon Railroad's own private-labeled brews, crafted in Sedona by the renowned Oak Creek Brewery.
It's not just the ales casting an amber glow this time of year; October in Verde Canyon features the first blush of fall complemented by a bounty of late summer wildflowers lingering in the mild, high desert climate. By late October, canopies of butter-colored cottonwoods and willows, bronze sycamores, coppery oaks and scarlet ivies festoon the Verde Canyon with a bright autumn burnish.
