Thomas Cook's Expert Staff Give Norwegian Breakaway the Golden Seal of Approval
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 07/02/13 -- Cruise industry giant launched its luxury liner Norwegian Breakaway on 24 April 2013, with an exclusive trade-only launch evening onboard the ship docked in Southampton.
A few members of the Thomas Cook team were invited to attend and give their feedback on the latest addition to NCL's world class fleet.
New York, New York?
The team felt that choice of artwork was particularly effective, setting the ship apart from its competition. Inspired by the Breakaway's homeport of New York City, the city that never sleeps is an ever-present theme in the artwork throughout the ship. The cruise aficionados were most impressed by the artwork on the ship's hull by America's most popular living artist, Peter Max.
Spacious Staterooms
The Thomas Cook team were lucky enough to be put up in the Breakaway's most exclusive area, The Haven, where guests enjoy a 24-hour butler service, poolside valet, white tablecloth in-room dining, and priority bookings at the ship's many restaurants, bars and spa area. Even these travel veterans were wowed by their luxurious surroundings, and particularly recommended the state-of-the-art bathroom facilities in their mini-suites, which included an opulent waterfall shower and double-sink space.
Breakaway for Thrills
The team quickly found that the Norwegian Breakaway had been designed with thrill-seekers in mind. They were delighted by the offerings on decks 15 to 18, which included 4 high-speed "not for the faint hearted" slides, a rock climbing wall, a high-ropes course and even a trampoline! Afterwards the team calmed their nerves with a dip in the pool and a soak in the hot tub - "bliss" as one staff member called it!
Family Fun
After checking out the facilities at the onboard kids club, the holiday experts confirmed that "anyone wondering whether or not a cruise is for families need not think twice...there are plenty of activities to keep your kids amused". Some favourites for the young-at-heart team were the interactive dance floor and juggling masterclass at the Breakaway's very own circus school.
Foodie Heaven
are famous for their exciting culinary offerings, and the Breakaway is no exception. Dinner at the ship's Le Bistro French Restaurant was said to be a particular highlight, with the French onion soup rivalling any to be had in Paris. After dinner, a trip to the only ice bar on the high seas was the perfect finish to a night aboard this breathtaking resort on water, which has only left the Thomas Cook team dreaming of a longer stay!
