RGA Announces Opening of Liaison Office in Turkey
Gokhan Ozum Named General Manager of RGA Turkey Office
(firmenpresse) - ISTANBUL, TURKEY -- (Marketwired) -- 07/01/13 -- Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (NYSE: RGA) is pleased to announce the opening of its newest operation in Istanbul, Turkey, and the hire of Gokhan Ozum as its General Manager.
RGA Global Reinsurance Company Ltd. Turkey Liaison Office, RGA's 26th office worldwide, launched on 20 May 2013 after more than 18 months of planning and groundwork.

"This new operation represents for RGA a strong continuation of our global strategy of building presences in markets worldwide staffed by highly experienced professionals with deep understanding of and familiarity with the local market."

Mr. Ozum comes to RGA after seven years with Garanti Pension and Life Company, a subsidiary of Garanti Bank, one of the largest banks in Turkey, where he was the Senior Vice President responsible for product development and strategic planning. Prior to then, he spent several years in U.S. life and pension sector companies. His Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics is from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey. He also has a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Economics from the State University of New York's University of Buffalo, and an MBA (Magna Cum Laude) from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
