OCBC Commends Governor Brown's Cabinet Appointments
(firmenpresse) - IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/28/13 -- Orange County Business Council commends Governor Brown for his recent Cabinet appointments of Marybel Batjer to Secretary of the Government Operations Agency; Brian Kelly to Secretary of the Transportation Agency; and Anna Caballero to Secretary of the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency. The appointments accompany an overhaul of state government that cuts the number of state agencies and consolidates dozens of departments and entities.

Ms. Batjer previously served as vice president of public policy and corporate social responsibility at Caesars Entertainment Corporation since 2005. From 2003 to 2005 she served as cabinet secretary for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, working on infrastructure, transportation, employment, and housing.
Mr. Kelly has served the state of California for more than 18 years. The Business, Transportation and Housing Agency oversees an operating budget of $18 billion; under Mr. Kelly's leadership the agency directs many complex economic development programs throughout California's diverse economy. Mr. Kelly brings essential knowledge on how to streamline commissions and cut bureaucratic red tape to keep California's economy growing.
Ms. Caballero has served the state of California for more than 30 years; she brings to the administration a broad understanding of California's central valley agricultural and water issues stemming from her professional career as an attorney representing farm workers.
