Premier Kathleen Wynne to Speak at Annual ProPRIDE Event During Toronto's Pride Week
Pride at Work Canada membership expands to more than 50 leading national and regional employers committed to LGBT inclusion at work.
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 06/21/13 -- Pride at Work Canada is thrilled to announce that the Hon. Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontario, will deliver special guest remarks at ProPRIDE 2013.
2013 marks a milestone in Canadian politics and for Kathleen Wynne's political career as she became the first female Premier in the Province of Ontario, and the first openly gay Premier in Canada. Prior to becoming Premier, Wynne's political pedigree included several Ministerial roles, including Ontario Minister of Education, Ontario Minister of Transportation, Ontario Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, and Ontario Minister of Aboriginal Affairs.
As stated on the Premier's official website, Premier Wynne and "her government are guided by the values that knit this province together: fairness, diversity, collaboration and creativity."

Pride at Work Canada was founded in May 2008 by a group of dedicated individuals with a vision - to improve the climate of inclusiveness for LGBT employees in the workplace. The aim of the group was to ensure that LGBT diversity and inclusion had a place on the agenda of mainstream businesses by winning the support of National and Regional Partners.
A volunteer-led non-profit organization, Pride at Work Canada is governed by its Board of Directors - consisting of volunteers from across the country - and an Executive Director.
