Awards Were Presented in the First of Two ABA Awards Events on June 17 in Chicago
(firmenpresse) - SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 06/18/13 -- was presented with a Silver and four Bronze Stevie® Awards in multiple categories in The 11th Annual American Business Awards in Chicago last night.
More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Vemma Founder and CEO, BK Boreyko was presented with a Silver Stevie Award for Executive of the Year -- Health Products & Services, while the product launch, , Vemma film series and video all garnered Bronze Stevie Awards in categories ranging from events and marketing campaigns to video production.
The American Business Awards is the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations -- public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. This year's competition recognized several leading companies including American Express OPEN, Procter & Gamble, the NFL, Dominos Pizza, Sony, Samsung, Heineken, NASCAR and others. Executive of the Year is recognized across several industries. Previous Executive of the Year winners include the late Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, Inc. (2010); Alan Mulally, President and CEO of Ford Motor Company (2011); and Kent Muhtar, CEO of Coca-Cola (2012).
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for "crowned," the trophies were presented to honorees during a gala banquet on Monday, June 17 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel. More than 500 nominees and their guests attended. The presentations will be broadcast by the Business TalkRadio Network on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
The 2013 American Business Awards will be presented at two awards events: Monday's banquet in Chicago, and at the new products & tech awards event on Monday, September 16 in San Francisco. Vemma is a Finalist in two awards categories for the September awards -- Verve Bold for best new product and the Vemma Revolution Convention App for event-related mobile apps.
