Small Business Advocacy Council and Jewish B2B Networking Co-Host The Business Event

(firmenpresse) - EVANSTON, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 06/18/13 -- The Small Business Advocacy Council (SBAC) and Jewish B2B Networking are co-hosting The Business Event, a business and employment expo in its third year, at Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Avenue, Evanston, on June 20, 2013 from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m.

"The Business Event is about empowering the small business community by bringing small business owners, and other professionals, together to connect, collaborate and exchange best practices," said Elliot Richardson, SBAC CEO. "It's important for all of us to understand we are in this together."

The third annual event is targeted to small business owners and employment seekers, and is expected to draw thousands of attendees, including more than 100 vendors and 30 employment recruiters. Last year's event attracted 2,500 participants and quickly outgrew its original location. The event will offer networking and business opportunities, including educational forums for businesses and job seekers featuring prominent speakers. More information is available at .

Several prominent elected officials are expected to attend, including Senator Daniel Biss, State Representatives Robyn Gabel, Laura Fine and Lou Lang, Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdhal and Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky.

"Whether you're a small business owner or you're looking for a job, there's something here for you," said Shalom Klein, Chairman of Jewish B2B Networking. "You'll find networking, opportunities to learn, and even practical advice."

The SBAC, a non-partisan, not-for-profit political organization, was established in 2010 to give small business owners, their employees and those with whom they conduct business with a voice in local, state and federal politics. The group represents more than 750 small businesses in the Chicagoland area.

Jewish B2B Networking is the largest Jewish networking organization in metro-Chicago, with over 12,000 subscribed networkers and over 3,000 attendees to their events since its inception. Their monthly publication, Jewish Business News, is read by over 15,00sha0 subscribers. Jewish B2B Networking is based in Skokie, Illinois.
