The award was presented at the 42 Annual Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) Conference held May 15-18 in Monterey Bay, California. Vector Marketing is the division of Cutco Cutlery Corporation. Founded in 1949, Cutco is the largest manufacturer of high-end kitchen cutlery in North America.
The Distinguished Marketing Educator Award recognizes lifetime contributions to marketing scholarship through teaching, research and mentorship of the next generation of marketing scholars.

"Recipients of this award are those who are changing the way we do science in marketing, and that certainly describes Linda. She has published books, chapters and over 70 articles that have collectively garnered over 7,000 citations. She has also mentored many Ph.D. students who are now leading marketing scholars in universities around the world," Brown said.
