Eaton Equipment Supports Reliable Power at New NextFort Data Center
Unique Modular Approach Calls for Highly Accurate Metering of Individual Customer Power Consumption

The Eaton power distribution products will help support reliable operations and highly accurate metering of power in each one of the customer modular data center units within NextFort's ultra-secure facility. The relies on Eaton medium-voltage load interrupter switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, meters and low voltage distribution transformers. Each NextFort data center customer has its own personalized power management solution complete with a power meter that can be monitored over the network and easily accessed via the customer's portal.
NextFort chose Eaton based on its industry leadership in power efficiency, reliability and safety. Eaton's power management solutions facilitate NextFort's focus on reduced operating costs associated with its . Customers benefit from flexibility and scalability in how they deploy modular units of data center capacity underpinning their businesses and customer-facing services and further benefit from the facility's reduced operating costs associated with maximizing energy efficiency throughout the data center.
NextFort's Phase 1 launch in August will unveil 130,000 sq. ft. of . These are completely self-contained, all concrete and steel rooms designed to house up to 20 high-density IT racks for a total IT load of up to 225KW (up to 600 watts/sq. ft.). Future expansion calls for 50,000 square feet of modular data center space for additional HCSs that can be rapidly deployed.
