EIZO Releases 23" Multitouch IPS Monitor Optimized for Comfort and Durability
EIZO FlexScan T2381W
(PresseBox) - The EIZO FlexScan T2381W multitouch monitor combines superb image quality, durability, and a design that is optimized for comfortable 5-point multitouch for use in schools, libraries, offices, and homes. The touch screen has a non-scratch surface made of reinforced glass with a hardness of 5H on the Mohs scale; making it durable enough to withstand long-term use in schools and public access areas.
The monitor features a new fully flat surface design that enables seamless touch operation that reaches to the edges of the screen. The 23-inch screen provides ample space to maneuver when tapping, scrolling, dragging, pinching, spinning, etc. The multitouch interface is supported by Windows 8 and 7. Users can also conveniently access the charm bar in Windows 8 with a swipe motion.
The EIZO FlexScan T2381W has a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and an IPS panel that has almost no color shift or change in contrast when viewed from different angles. The wide 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles ensure two people can comfortably view the screen.
A non-glare screen reduces eye fatigue by dissipating reflective light that would otherwise make the screen difficult to view. A Paper mode preset simulates the look of printed paper to help prevent eyestrain when reading documents or eBooks by adjusting the brightness of the monitor and reducing blue light. The FlexScan T2381W also relieves eye fatigue further by regulating brightness to reduce flicker.
The monitor comes equipped with an overdrive circuit which reduces gray-to-gray response time to only 6 ms when viewing video, ensuring a clean and sharp image.
The FlexScan T2381W's flexible stand makes placement and positioning simple and comfortable for office work and multitouch applications. The bottom of the bezel rests on the desktop like a notebook PC and tilts back freely from 15° to 70°. This allows the user to touch the monitor comfortably without having to extend his/her arm.
The new monitor model will be available from February 2013 at a street price level of 990,- Euro.
