Top-Ranked Chattanooga Hotel on TripAdvisor Recognized for Environmentally-Friendly Accommodations

The GreenLeaders program helps travelers plan eco-friendly trips by identifying environmentally friendly accommodations across the U.S. Travelers can now search for accommodations that have a GreenLeaders status on the TripAdvisor site and view a detailed list of environmentally friendly practices that they can expect at each location.
To qualify, this LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) had to meet a set of environmental standards developed for TripAdvisor by a leading environmental consulting firm, with input from expert partners including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR® program, the U.S. Green Building Council and the United Nations Environment Programme.

In October 2012, the hotel was awarded its Silver Level LEED certification, the first Chattanooga hotel to achieve this status. To obtain the certification, the hotel was constructed with the five main LEED pillars in mind: sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources and indoor environmental quality.
The hotel's are also part of the program, making them a great option for corporations and individuals who align themselves with environmentally conscious practices. All event spaces in the hotel have recycling bins for paper, aluminum and other recyclables. In addition, rechargeable batteries are used in all battery operated A/V equipment in the hotel. The hotel's boardroom features seating for up to 12, a 60-inch TV, speaker phones and a Blu-ray player. Combined, the hotel's two spaces can seat up to 100 guests.
