KARE 11's Huppert, Malat Win National Edward R. Murrow Awards
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 06/12/13 -- KARE 11 reporter Boyd Huppert continues to forge his reputation as one of America's finest journalists after being honored with his ninth and tenth National Edward R. Murrow Awards.
Huppert received top honors in the Large Market Television Writing category for a compilation that included three stories: "Neighborhood of Love" (with photojournalist Jonathan Malat), "Nada" (with Malat), and "A Precarious Place" (with photojournalist John Drilling).
Huppert was also recognized, along with photojournalist Jonathan Malat, in the Large Market Television Video Feature Reporting category, for "Neighborhood of Love". Malat was a Photographer of the Year finalist with the National Press Photographer's Association in March, as well.

The Edward R. Murrow Awards are given annually by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), an organization that has been recognizing excellence in broadcast journalism since 1971. KARE 11 has been awarded 21 National Edward R. Murrow awards since 1994.
