Shohet Ear Associates Establishes First Esteem-Certified Audiologist Network in Southern California
(firmenpresse) - NEWPORT BEACH, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/10/13 -- Shohet Ear Associates is partnering with nine Southern California audiology practices to make the "invisible" Esteem® Hearing Implant widely available to candidates for the device. Patients interested in learning more about the Esteem and whether they are candidates will be able to find an Esteem-certified audiologist as far north as Beverly Hills and as south as San Diego.
The Esteem® is the only FDA-approved, fully implanted, active middle ear hearing device. For people with moderate to severe sensorineural hearing loss, the "invisible" Esteem® Hearing Implant represents a first-of-its-kind technology -- a fully implanted, 100% waterproof, long-term hearing solution. Unlike conventional hearing aids, there are no external components and nothing in the ear canal, making it a uniquely invisible solution.

In order to be Esteem-certified, audiologists must have been in practice for several years and have completed training on how the device works, how it is implanted and what the indications and contraindications are for its use. The actual implant surgery is performed by Dr. Shohet, who is Board-certified in otolaryngology and neurotology, and specializes in ear care.
