Minister Ritz will be joined by Parliamentary Secretary Pierre Lemieux, Member of Parliament LaVar Payne, and officials from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Media Technical Briefing
The news conference will be preceded by a telephone briefing to be provided by senior representatives from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Representatives from Health Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada will also be on hand to answer questions.
The briefing is for background information and there will be a question and answer session.
