spo-book RUGGED and spo-book MOVE: robust mini PCs for outdoor missions
Anyone can offer mini PCs for a dry factory ground or a well-tempered booth
(PresseBox) - For those customers who want to use their hardware also in rougher environments, spo-comm now has developed new models. They are the right answer when it comes to temperatures that range from -30° up to +60° degrees Celsius or when the equipment is well shaked thoroughly, just because it is moved.
"We offer these systems in two performance classes", CEO Michael Sporrer says. These are on the one hand the models RUGGED NM 10 with the known powerful Intel Atom Dual Core processor as well as the RUGGED T56N that combines an AMD Dual Core CPU with an efficient AMD Radeon HD6320 graphics card.
But if it is not only the temperatures that are more extreme, but also the location - in other words the mini PC is used in a mobile environment like a car or a truck, on a ship or a train -, then the hardware also has to be resistant to shocks and vibrations. "Tight and robust plug-type connections stand for durability and a trouble-free operation", Sporrer explains. "This is the construction type our so called MOVE models base on."
Additionally to the MOVE T56N customers now can rely on spo comm's MOVE NM10. The special thing about it: users can connect the mini PCs to board supplies which in turn means that the initial states depend from the status of the ignition. If the ignition is turned off, then the PC also shuts down - energy-saving and environmentally friendly at the same time.
