Contest Attracts Rising Stars From Ontario and Quebec
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 05/30/13 -- Some of Canada's most promising singer/songwriters will compete for $7,500 in prizes July 28th at the Singer/Songwriters Recording Contest Semi-Finals Showcase in Etobicoke, Ont.
The event is sponsored by Toronto-based John Lennon Records, Etobicoke's The Rock Pile nightclub, Slak Productions, Wal-Mart Canada, the Danielz Group, and Future Shop.
The top three winners will be featured on a compilation CD, which will be available worldwide through digital distribution and will be promoted to radio stations.
Special guest performers for the evening will include multiple award-nominated entertainer Redme Heddub and Dennis Walton, who has received airplay on more than 100 radio stations.
The Semi-Final Showcase kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on July 28th at The Rock Pile nightclub, 5555a Dundas Street West in Etobicoke. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, and can be purchased from or The Rock Pile nightclub (416-504-6699).
