Breakthrough in the Segment of Ships – 6.2 % reduced Diesel Consumption thanks to the BE-Fuelsaver®
The BE-Fuelsaver® superbly passed its first, major test with a ship, a breakthrough in this segment. The BE-Fuelsaver® of type XXL proved its effectivity by the 6.2% reduction in diesel consumption, for sure a pleasing result.
(firmenpresse) - Cham, 22.05.2013, Owing this to captain Detlef Witz from Trier/Germany who was willing to have the BE-Fuelsaver® inserted into his cargo ship MS FUTURA. His cargo ship runs on the route Maas - Rhine.
Since the conditions a cargo ship faces are quite variable, the engines were set equal in terms of performance, rotational frequency and consumption, as recommended by an engineer of the engine's manufacturer. This allowed the test team to compare the consumption of the two engines. The left and right engines were compared after the BE-Fuelsaver® type XXL was placed into the day tank of the starboard's engine. When comparing the consumption after having covered Dillingen - Rotterdam - Antwerp and back to Dillingen 4 times, the fuel saved was 6.2% which is quite a remarkable result for a diesel-consuming engine.
