Finisar Board Sets Annual Meeting and Record Dates

The announcement will be followed by a conference call with analysts at 2:00 p.m. PDT/ 5:00 p.m. EDT.

The Finisar Corporation board of directors has established a record date for its 2013 annual meeting of stockholders. Finisar stockholders of record at the close of business on July 12, 2013 will be entitled to notice of the annual meeting and to vote upon matters considered at the meeting, which is scheduled to be held on September 3, 2013. In accordance with Finisar's Bylaws, since the date of the annual meeting has changed by more than 30 days from the date contemplated at the time of the proxy statement for last year's annual meeting, a stockholder who wishes to submit a proposal for consideration at the meeting must provide written notice thereof to Finisar's Corporate Secretary, and include certain information specified in the Bylaws, not later than the tenth day following the date of this announcement.
