Heritage and Flavour Science Go Into the New McCormick Canada BBQ Sauces

(firmenpresse) - LONDON, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 05/14/13 -- Building on heritage flavours such as the number one selling Montreal Steak Spice seasoning, as well as utilizing Flavour Forecast trends, McCormick Canada has launched a new line of BBQ sauces under the Club House La Grille brand.

Just in time for the spring BBQ season, the new products include Montreal Steak Spice BBQ Sauce, Montreal Chicken BBQ Sauce, Wild Whiskey Smoked BBQ Sauce, and Vintage Smokehouse with Honey BBQ Sauce.

The flavours for these new sauces are based on some of McCormick Canada's top selling Club House La Grille products, such as Montreal Steak Spice and Montreal Chicken seasonings, and on the very popular Wild Whiskey Smoked BBQ Limited Edition flavour from 2011. McCormick's Flavour Forecast also played a key role in development.

"In the 2010 Flavour Forecast, our parent company introduced the 'Layer it On' trend," says McCormick Canada Product Manager Stacey McKellar, "where grillers were starting to embrace much more creativity with flavour, balancing the multi-tiered merging of marinades, rubs, brines, sauces and more."

McKellar notes that "with the addition of these new products, Club House La Grille now offers a complete grilling line including seasonings, No Salt Added seasonings, Rub Marinades, 30 Minute Marinades, and BBQ Sauces."

Available in the BBQ sauce aisle at most major grocery retailers across Canada, the new Club House La Grille BBQ sauces retail for about $2.99 per bottle.
