Westfield Insurance's Carrie Busic Awarded YWCA Women of Professional Excellence Award
(firmenpresse) - CLEVELAND, OH -- (Marketwired) -- 05/09/13 -- Carrie Busic was awarded the YWCA Women of Professional Excellence Award during the annual Women of Achievement Awards at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel. This annual event celebrates the extraordinary accomplishments of women in Northeast Ohio.
The award recognizes exceptional women who embody professionalism and commitment to helping others achieve. Recipients are selected by their organization based on several criteria, including high professional standards, demonstrated career and personal growth, significant contributions to the effective and efficient operation of the organization, willingness to support and mentor others in the organization, especially women, and positively impact the community.
Busic joined Westfield Insurance in 1994, after graduating from high school. She worked in typing and policy assembly while attending college full time. After completing Westfield's management training program, she worked in northeast Ohio as a regional underwriting manager and was instrumental in establishing the new Small Business Accounts division in Commercial Lines.
In 2007, Carrie moved into the new Agribusiness Division where she has lead several groups for the past 6 years, most recently as Region Leader of Specialty Lines. Carrie was recently promoted to Agribusiness Division Leader where she will take on the leadership role for the agribusiness product line.
Since 2008, Carrie has supported Susan G. Komen of Northeast Ohio, where she is active regionally and has completed the 3-day, 60 mile challenge two times, in Cleveland and in Boston. In more recent years, she has gained personal satisfaction through her continued dedication as a volunteer crew leader for the Cleveland event.
Carrie enjoys all the wonderful survivors and family members she meets through supporting this effort and has recruited a number of her friends and family members to participate alongside her. Carrie shares that through her experience with this event she has learned about the power of faith and perseverance -- a lesson that is also applicable to personal development.
