San Diego Association of Health Underwriters Hosts First Live Program for Certified Healthcare Reform Specialists
(firmenpresse) - SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/07/13 -- The San Diego Association of Health Underwriters (SDAHU) launched a healthcare reform training and certification course for its members using a live interactive format for 160+ Association members. Participants were able to communicate with some of the top national experts in healthcare reform during the course and upon completion receive designation as Certified Healthcare Reform Specialists® (CHRS).
Craig Gussin, President of the SDAHU, said, "Because of the complexity, scope and depth of the healthcare reform law it was important for our members to become as well educated as possible when it comes to healthcare reform. They need to be experts when advising clients, with PPACA there is no margin for error."

Gussin further explained that SDAHU members will now be able to add to their business cards and credentials the designation and seal of being a Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist and will be able to distinguish themselves amongst other agents and insurance professionals.
The program is a comprehensive course, approved nationally for continuing education, and designed to educate the students about the effects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) on employer health plans. Topics covered today included some of the following:

The CHRS Designation is offered in conjunction with the Health Care Reform Center and Policy Institute (HCRPI) and the . The specialist designation and certification was developed over the past several years by national healthcare reform experts and leaders. The certification can be taken online, or at the National Healthcare Reform Conference®, part of the Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress and the National Health Insurance Exchange Conference, November 3-6, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada, , or through onsite training and live webcasting. The healthcare reform certification is also offered as an interactive, group one-day training available for employers, agencies and insurance carriers.
