Attorney Erick Becker Joins Cummins & White
Will Lead Labor & Employment Practice
(firmenpresse) - NEWPORT BEACH, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/07/13 -- Cummins & White, LLP, a well-known diversified, full-service business and insurance law practice, today announced that Erick Becker has joined the firm as a partner and will lead the labor and employment practice group. Becker arrives from the American Consulting Group, where he served as chief executive officer and focused on labor relations and human resources consulting.
Becker, who has more than two decades of labor and employment law experience, will handle a wide range of matters from employment and human resources counseling and preventive labor and employee relations to union negotiations and contract administration. He will work closely with Cummins & White senior partner and lead trial counsel James Wakefield, who handles employment litigation, as well as the firm's transactional attorneys providing general counsel to employers.

Prior to joining Cummins & White, Becker was chief executive officer of the American Consulting Group, Inc., where he provided labor relations and human resources guidance to a wide range of companies, from Fortune 500 corporations to small- and mid-size businesses. Formerly with the law firm of McLaughlin and Irvin, Becker has experience handling matters before the National Labor Relations Board, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Office of the Labor Commissioner, and other agencies. He has worked with a variety of clients, including Pillsbury, Kraft, Mattel, AMR, Avery Dennison, Kroger, and Delta Airlines. Becker is a member of the California State Bar Labor and Employment Section and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He earned his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
