SKY uni.cone abutments - narrow jaws safely fitted with bridges and bars

(firmenpresse) - The SKY fast & fixed system has proved itself on the market for more than six years and it has set standards with its prosthetic concept of occlusion and/or transversal screws in dental prosthetic treatment. In definitive treatment however, the wide abutment diameter caused aesthetic problems in some cases, so that the SKY fast & fixed abutments e.g., must be replaced with SKY esthetic abutments. The narrow SKY uni.cone abutment system offers new solutions now.

With the SKY uni.cone abutment system, the proven SKY fast & fixed concept can also be used on narrow jaws. Thus for example, in a lower jaw treatment the SKY uni.cone abutments can be set in the front and the angled SKY fast & fixed abutments set in the rear. The advantage: In future, the replacement of abutments can be avoided in definitive treatment. Naturally, one can select either transversal or occlusal screws in dental prosthetics.

The SKY uni.cone consists of the following components:

- SKY uni.cone abutments 1 mm, 2 mm and 3 mm
- SKY uni.cone gingiva former
- SKY uni.cone casting abutments for open- and closed spoon methods
- SKY uni.cone prosthetic caps occlusally screwed Titanium, can be seared and moulded
- SKY uni.cone prosthetic caps screwed transversally

For better differentiation in the mouth of the patient all metal components of SKY uni.cone are colour-coded consistently so that confusion with the SKY fast & fixed system is not possible.

On the basis of SKY uni.cone, all other types of bridge- and bar structures can be executed on the blueSKY and SKY classic implants with integrated platform switch. SKY uni.cone can also be used in connection with narrowSKY, if certain restrictions attributable to the use of a narrow implant - e.g., "maximum one pontic" in a bridge treatment.

The SKY prosthetic programme is rounded off with these new prosthetic components and the big advantage of transparency and clarity are retained. It saves money and time.
