Enterprise Holdings Names Christine Taylor-Broughton as Senior Vice President of North American Operations

(firmenpresse) - ST. LOUIS, MO -- (Marketwired) -- 05/02/13 -- Enterprise Holdings today announced the promotion of to Senior Vice President of North American Operations, succeeding who announced earlier this year he is retiring from the company after 29 years of distinguished service.

The appointment is effective immediately. In her new role, Taylor-Broughton will oversee all of Enterprise Holdings' operations in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, including a network of approximately 6,000 neighborhood and airport rental branch offices. She will report directly to President and Chief Operating Officer .

Through its regional subsidiaries, Enterprise Holdings operates National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car as well as its flagship Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand. The company is owned by the Taylor family and headquartered in St. Louis. "This appointment represents a significant milestone for the Taylors and for the Enterprise family overall," Nicholson said. "Chrissy is a member of the third generation of the Taylor family involved in the ownership and management of the company. She has spent 13 years learning its business operations, disciplines and strategies, and is now ready to take on this key leadership role."

Taylor-Broughton's grandfather, , founded the company in 1957 with only seven vehicles, later naming it after the World War II aircraft carrier he served on -- the USS Enterprise. Jack's son and Taylor-Broughton's father, , succeeded him in 1980. "We firmly believe that operating Enterprise Holdings as a family-owned business provides a strategic advantage in the highly competitive car rental marketplace," Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Andy Taylor noted. Two other Taylor family members also hold key leadership roles. , Jack Taylor's daughter, is President of the Enterprise Holdings Foundation and is responsible for the allocation of millions of dollars in charitable contributions to thousands of organizations each year. Kindle also manages the family's philanthropic endeavors, including the Crawford Taylor Foundation. Kindle's daughter, Carolyn, is Vice President and Executive Director of the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, a role in which she develops and implements the Foundation's philanthropic strategies and objectives. began her Enterprise career as a college intern. In 2001, she moved to St. Louis to work in the Fleet Management division, after which she began supporting the national marketing management team and then Enterprise's operating groups in the southeastern part of the U.S. In 2007, Carolyn was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Rental. In 2010, she transitioned her position to focus on philanthropy and community relations.





Taylor-Broughton joined Enterprise Rent-A-Car's Management Training Program in 2000 and worked at several different rental locations, learning everything from managing inventory to profit/loss statements and staffing. Transitioning in 2003 to Enterprise's corporate headquarters, she was appointed Corporate Rental Manager helping to oversee regional operations throughout the United States.

In 2006, Taylor-Broughton relocated to London to further develop Enterprise Rent-A-Car's market in the U.K., Germany and Ireland. She was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Rental soon thereafter, and in 2008 returned to St. Louis, where she focused on developing e-commerce initiatives for Enterprise Holdings' National and Alamo brands. Upon receiving her MBA from Washington University in St. Louis in 2010, Taylor-Broughton joined Enterprise Holdings' Treasury group, where she assisted in the financial restructuring of the company's Fleet Management business. She joined Enterprise Car Sales in August of 2011 and one year later was promoted to Vice President, overseeing all aspects of the car-sales retail operations.

In addition to her MBA, Taylor-Broughton holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology with a minor in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she was a member of the Women's Division I Field Hockey Team, earning All American honors and serving as Co-Captain of the team. She and her husband, Lee, have two children and live in St. Louis.
